Mexico’s Navy's 4th bust in a week increase cocaine seizure under Sheinbaum's administration.
Mexico strikes again against drug trafficking; 26 bundles of cocaine seized and two detainees.
On May 9th, in a maritime operative off the coast of Guerrero, the Mexican navy secured a small vessel with 26 bundles of cocaine and detained two foreign individuals, reports Mexico’s Security Cabinet.
This seizure brings the total to 89 packages, estimated to several tons of cocaine, adding the 65 tons so far confiscated at sea in the current administration.
The operative was the result of intelligence and investigation work that allowed the maritime tracking of the vessel from 361 nautical miles (668 kilometers) south -southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero to its arrival on the coast of Arroyo Seco, municipality of Petatlán, detailed Mexico’s Security Cabinet in press release.
This the fourth consecutive seizure of illicit drugs at sea in a week, affecting significantly the operations of drug carteles, highlighted the Mexican authorities.
The latter contradicts Trumps and its administration narrative that Mexico isn’t doing enough to combat drug trafficking and that country is rule by the cartels.
